I must say that today was just plain busy! Was able to get my Circuit Training workout completed in a little under an hour and a half, which isn’t bad because some of that was figuring out equipment locations around the gym and then doing a cycle. Altogether I should be faster next time because I already know where everything is!
Got my cardio in as well, getting in 2.6 miles in an hour. Was slowed down a little due to an insole of my shoe starting to ball up and rub on my foot. Had to stop and fix it temporarily to finish the walk, and will see if I can find another set by tomorrow morning to get them set up for tomorrow’s walk.
Otherwise everything was just appointment after appointment, after Challenge task, after Challenge task, etc.
I will say, that I’m feeling great. I knew what was coming so I did some working out over the week prior to help minimize the soreness and stiffness experienced when hitting it with hard workouts suddenly. That has been a blessing, truly, because I just feel amazing each day, lots of energy and just feeling healthier after working out regularly for the last couple of weeks (even if it’s only Day 2 of the Challenge). Got quite a bit done in my time frames allotted, so feeling good about that! Nice and comforting feeling when follow through has bene reached.
The one slightly boring part of the Challenge right now is the mindfulness, but that is probably because I’ve done full meditation and lots of these breathing exercises in the past, so going back to this basic level to start is a little boring. The notion of having to do the same 5 little breathing exercises all week is less than exciting, but I get it…get through this part and work our way up. I’m sure there are a number of people, guys especially, that have never experienced this type of mindfulness at all.
Overall, had a good day! Let’s see what tomorrow brings??
